HILL-TOP CREATIVE ARTS FOUNDATION SET TO MAKE MINNA THE UNESCO CITY OF LITERATURE, 2023.

Minna is currently applying to UNESCO to designate Minna as a City of Literature. The bid is driven by the Hill-Top Creative Arts Foundation, Minna, Nigeria.
In April, we assembled a strong team comprising of the following: Prof. Yahaya Kuta, Prof. Muhammad Bashar Nuhu , Alh. Bala Abdullahi Kwatu , Alh. Baba Akote , Mary Noel Berje, Maimuna Babangida,  Amb Lawrence Paul , Francis Sokomba , Makama Shekwo'aga Ojo Olumide Emmanuel , Yusuf BM , Bilkisu Abdulazeez Abarah, Bello Ibrahim , Alfa Babakolo, Dr. Kamar Hamza , Adamu Idris Manarakis , Isyaku Bala Ibrahim , Rakiya Umar, and Zainab Mohammed to push for the bid. I am the Team Lead.

Minna's bid got a boost late last month when Nottingham City volunteered to mentor us for a successful application. Nottingham City in Ireland is also a UNESCO City of Literature. Our thanks go to Hannah Trevarthen (mentor) for her support.

Minna will submit her bid before the deadline which is 30th June, 2023.

PLEASE, PRAY FOR MINNA.

This is for the information of the Chanchaga LG, the Nigerian literary community and Nigerlites. Minna Emirate and the Niger State Government are aware of this.
The team therefore ask for help to share this, and tag UNESCO pages, circles, platforms and networks.
